Do we know who we are? It is the question that repeats itself in my mind all the time. Do we know the essential characteristics that qualify us for our dream job? Are we born with these characteristics and personalities or gain them from our families, or the environment? Being aware and realizing who we are and the exact personalities we have makes it easier for us to search for the suitable future job and saves our time.A career is an essential source of making money and life and desire to live. As a result, people study hard in order to get the right job and position they wont to achieve. I answered some online quizzes with the aim of knowing more about my personality, skills and preferences to facilitate making a decision for my future job and to develop my strengths.

As Cherry  says, personality is “ made up of the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that make a person unique. In addition to this, personality arises from within the individual and remains fairly consistent throughout life.”.  I found that I am an ISFJ person. ‘I’ stands for introversion, which means my “natural preference is to work with ideas and concepts”. Somehow, it is true because I prefer to work with computers and look for new things, by myself,  that match computer specialties which is one of kind of job that appeals to introverts. ‘S’ refers to sensing, which means that I love “working with detail and practical applications”. ‘F’ stands for feeling. To put it another way, it means I’m a person who helps and communicates with others and that matches a social worker which is one of the types of career which appeal to a feeler. The letter “J” refers to the word judgment. It means I am an organized person and I like to be directed in my work in order to achieve the organizational aim. I found that I am a person who enjoys setting a schedule. Also, I like the work to be accurate. Co-worker is an important motivator to me in my work. As well, I prefer to manage myself and attain my own objectives and ambitions. The environment plays a vital role in the production and the quality of the work, and I’m a person who prefers working in a healthy, friendly and quiet environment (Training and Careers, 2011).

I believe that the personality, values and skills of anyone have a vital role in selecting the future career. I answered some questions in the career planner website in order to find out the appropriate future job. So, I found many jobs that suit me for example: Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Chemists, Construction, Machinist. These particular jobs require people to be good at building strong relationships with others.

Personality and self-analysis quizzes are the easiest and fastest way to find out our characteristics, skills and things we are good in. Also, these quizzes help us in knowing strengths we need to develop and weaknesses we need to decrease. I realized new values and found skills I have that will guide me in choosing my future career.

I suggest each person who is still confused about the future job should test himself/herself by using online quizzes to discover more about the personalities, skills, strengths and weaknesses to  know what suit himself/herself in the workforce.

Summer Job

In this essay, I going to write about my experiences I have been through during my summer vacation. I have worked as a trainee in Abu Dhabi Court; in addition to that I  spent two weeks in Al Etihad Airways on a training course, since I am one of their scholars, in order to prepare myself for the work environment.

Firstly, I will write about the summer job which was in Abu Dhabi Court. The location of the Abu Dhabi court is near to Zayed military hospital. My training was in the Committees Interests Department. In this department, I have learned many things such as registering the cases and distributing and filing papers. In addition, they allowed me and my colleague to attend, read the cases and come up with suitable solutions. Also, I gained some of the skills on how to deal with the customers, since I was communicating with clients directly to finish their work.

During my summer experience, I received a call from Al Etihad Airways, which is my sponsor, asking me to join them for four days in order to get familiar with my working environment in the future. First, I met my direct supervisor who assigned for me some tasks. The supervisors asked me to join different groups in order to meet the other engineers, to get to know each other. He divided us into groups; each group contained  four students with a senior engineer. We were observing him all the time and asking him. They have assigned to us a check list with the required equipment and we have to check what we have. As well, we were able to change parts of the equipment. In addition, they took us on a tour in different planes to know the difference between them. We were able to check old and new planes but in different ways. For example, in the old plane they gave us a paper to check the plane if there was any Malfunction to fix. In the new plane like Airbus, 777 and Boing we were able check the plane through the computer inside the plane.

In conclusion, I had great experience in both places because I had some information about my course before I started the class; also, I am more confident when I deal with the people.

Hedley trip

                                                                Hedley's trip

About 30 years ago, Hedley, and his family had a trip to Niah Caves in East Malaysi. They travelled by car, large ferry, and small boat.

They travelled by car from Brunei to Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB), then they drove cross the river by the ferry, and arrive at dusk and they stay in a rest house.

The next morning they walked in to the jungle, and they walked until they reached the Niah Caves, which were very high and they climbed the mountains and saw some snakes and lizards.

The next day they went back to their home in Brunei.
